Habitat: |
This is the largest antelope in the world – a male could reach 900 kg. It roams everywhere – in the bush and the savannas of Africa. Exists in two varieties – Cape Eland and Eland Livingston. |

Size: |
A typical male is about 170 cm tall at the withers and weighs up to 900 kg.; a female weighs up to 500 kg. The world record of horns is 102 cm and has been taken in Botswana. |

Habits: |
A herd animal. It is also possible to encounter single solitary individuals. Very enduring to wounds and chase. |

Hunting advice: |
Most often, it is hunted by stalking on land or at drinking places. Aim at the chest. After a shot, it usually runs off. Rarely would it charge back. |

Caliber: |
We recommend a caliber of minimum 9,3 in all its variants. 8х68S or the equivalent .338 Lapua Magnum or Winchester Magnum, are very appropriate. |

Trophy: |
The horns. You may have it prepared as a chest mount. This is a stately animal. We do not recommend that you have prepared by taxidermists in Africa. |

Location: |
Available everywhere we offer hunts in in Africa, most often is hunted in fenced territories in RSA. |
