Habitat: |
A rare species – mainly in Botswana and Zambia in the Zambezi valley. A beautiful animal. |

Size: |
A typical male is about 100 cm tall at the withers and weighs up to 100 kg; a female weighs up to 8o kg. Clear dimorphism between the genders – females do not have horns. |

Habits: |
Gathers in herds with a dominant male. |

Hunting advice: |
Most often it is hunted on land by stalking or at a drinking pool. Aim at the chest. |

Caliber: |
We recommend a caliber of minimum .30-06 with a 11,7-gram bullet. |
|
Trophy: |
Horns, some treat the skin as well but we do not consider it fit. A chest mount is very effective. We do not recommend doing the taxidermy preparation Africa. The record of a horn is 94 cm. |

Location: |
In all hunting destination in Botswana and Zambia and, of course, fenced areas in the RSA. We recommend to hunt lechwe in Zambia. |
